David Mapley, Treinador Principal
David Mapley rows competitively, and is a coach , for more than 50 years,
in the UK, Australia, Asia, USA, and more recently in Europe. He rowed in the Uk in the lightweight squad for GB,
then later, as a Masters Rower, won US National Championship titles in VIII's. His crews were placed second
in the FISA World Championships , in VIII's (Montreal 2001) and 4x (Princeton 2006). He also encouraged youth rowing, winning the US Naional Father/Son title in a 2x with his son Tim.
He started as a coach while at the University of London, then later formed his own club,
Norwalk Leander, in Connecticut, USA, where he was also the Head Coach. He later
became the Head of Rowing at Fairfield Prep Boy's School, overseeing a rowing program for 80 boys.
He is a US Rowing Qualified Coach, Level II.
David was also the youth coach at Club D'Aviron Divonne, in France,
where he won the Suisse-Romande 1x e 2x titles.
